ANGEL BUSINESS GRANT PROGRAM

Supported by the Dave & Cheryl Duffield Foundation

What is an “Angel Business Grant”?

The current COVID-19 crisis, in addition to placing many of our residents at grave health risk, has resulted in an unprecedented economic disruption that disproportionately affects society’s most vulnerable – low paid workers, small business owners and their families. In response to this issue, members affiliated with the three Incline Village Rotary Clubs have joined together to create the Incline Rotary Clubs Angel Business Grant Fund to receive help by offering grants of $1,000-$10,000 to local businesses that have been adversely affected by COVID-19.

Who is Eligible?

Any local business of Incline Village that has been adversely affected by the economic problems related to the Coronavirus pandemic and can show hardship in meeting current rent and utility payments and wages and salaries.  This includes sole proprietors and self-employed individuals.

What are the Terms of the Grant?

  •  No Credit Application Required

  •  No repayment necessary

  •  Grantee must provide the following information for consideration:

o  A brief description of the business including location, product or services provided and length of time in business.

o  Details regarding number of employees and/or contractors.

o  A statement on the intended use of funds, if granted.

o  A description of the current hours and days of operation indicating the impact on the business as a result of the quarantine.

For grants requests over $1,000, the Grantee must also provide the following documentation to confirm the business’s existence and historical performance:

      o  A year-to-date 2020 profit and loss statement compared to 2019.

o  A current statement of assets and liabilities of the business highlighting outstanding obligations such as rent, payroll and utility expenses.

o  A copy of the current business license from the Nevada Secretary of State.

•  The Rotary Clubs reserve the right to request additional information as needed to determine qualifications for a grant; no guarantees expressed or implied are given as to eligibility or application success. However, we wish to be clear that approving grants will be done as quickly as possible. As a step toward approval, please anticipate a request for an interview from the approval committee.

We encourage applicants to submit applications quickly.  The Committee that approves applications meets weekly.

What Other Services are Offered?

Grants are not the only aid offered, as each recipient will also be mentored by an assigned Rotarian “Angel” who will direct the disadvantaged to job prospects/counseling, government programs and additional local resources.

How Do I Apply?
